PPO “Defend Your Gun” Gym Day

ADVISEMENT:

This is a PROFESIONALS ONLY training session. You must be a licensed Texas Personal Protection Officer (or other State equivalent) to participate*. You will be required to present your active PPO Guard Card and License to Carry for access to the PPO Range Day details and at the range on the day.

This requirement allows us to advance quickly from basic range drills to get warmed up into advanced skill drills that could be dangerous for untrained armatures.

Other than applicable mat fees, there is no cost for attending this session. It is meant as a professional development and networking training session. It gives us unique opportunity to train together, so when we work together, we know who and what we are working with. It’s an opportunity to build team skills among a collection of geographically scattered professional.

Understand, this train is designed to challenge your ability to safely and effectively engage threats under extraordinary conditions. You need to be in reasonably good cardiovascular shape, able to grapple and protect your firearm, repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs over your head and/or get up off the ground before engaging multiple targets. There will be times when you are shooting at or near your maximum Heart Rate and out of breath. Some of these conditions may be unprobeable, but all are possible. As high-level pros, we need to train well beyond the probably. We are problem solvers, not first responders. Our skills must be extraordinary. If we train a bit harder than we may have to fight, we’ll be that much more conditioned for victory. #traintowin

*EXCEPTION: The exception to the licensed PPO is requirement: licensed Texas Level 3 Guard (or other State equivalent) invited by an approved PPO who has attended at least one previous PPO Range Day with CHTK.
